FBFM Week Seven

 

Hey family!!

I thought this week would be a great opportunity to steer our attention towards one of the most  important aspects of our health...food!

I am a huge believer in making food and eating the most positive and inspiring experience we can. The truth is, we DO have to eat everyday, and it is a huge part of our lives right?! You should never be afraid of eating, or feel bad for doing so!

My general philosophy around food is that BALANCE and VARIETY is key. (I am planning on creating a ebook very soon focusing on food and nutrition, so I am really excited to expand on this topic further!) keep a lookout!...

 'every meal is an opportunity to give back to your body'. When you start to fill your day with fresh fruits and vegetables, lots of fibre, protein like meat/eggs/nuts/lentils, staying hydrated with lots of water etc...and basically all the 'good' stuff, there really isn't much room for the crap! Also, preparation is key. Eating well DOES require some more effort sometimes...but the benefits of this extra time shopping for healthy foods, preparing meals and snacks, cooking a little bit longer, or packing your snacks really will show. I promise!

Of course, everyone is different, no one diet can be perfect for everybody, and that is totally ok! It is really important to approach eating with an open mind, and be willing to try, experiment, learn, and just experience different aspects of food. When you are open to listen to your body and how it feels and reacts to what you are eating, you really begin to learn about what is right for you (:

So lets make this space somewhere we can inspire each other to have a great healthy, and happy experience with food!
