Physical strength & flexibility are two parts of your fitness that are hard to keep consistent..when you get strong, usually your flexibility suffers πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ˜• BUT it's possible to have both!
The key is matching your stretching time to your workout time ⏰ If you workout everyday, you should be stretching everyday! βœ”οΈβ˜€οΈ
Niggling injuries? Don't recover well after tough sessions? Don't sleep well? or struggling to keep good technique when you workout?! You're probably not stretching enough!

When I run short on time to stretch after my workout, I make it up in the evening in front of the TV! πŸ“Ίβ˜ΊοΈ A little bit everyday (15-30min) is way more effective then one or two huge stretching sessions a week...you with thrive off consistency!! πŸ˜ƒ

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Make sure your window blinds/curtains aren't fully closed..natural morning light will stimulate your body to wake up β˜€οΈ


πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Lay out your workout clothes the night before (or better yet, wear them to bed!)..no wasting time getting ready when you wake up! πŸ‘Ÿ


πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Set your alarm (keep the volume loud!) and put it on the other side of the room..that way you actually have to get up out of bed to turn it off! ⏰


πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Write your fitness goal, a quote, or get a picture that motivates you and place it next to your alarm...it'll be the first thing you see when you eventually turn that alarm off πŸ“


πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Give yourself half a chance of an early morning wake up by getting a good nights sleep..bedtime routine is key! Dim the lights in your house (tells your body it's almost time to sleep), minimise TV, computers, phones etc 30min before bedtime, brush your teeth/shower/pj's (or workout clothesπŸ˜‰), have a gentle stretch (use this to clear your mind too!) then hop into bed when you are ready (when I first lay in bed, I count 10 deep, long breaths in and out..it puts me straight to sleep!) πŸŒ™βœ¨
